Term 4 Integrated Inquiry Learning

This term Room 2 are continuing their learning journey to discover what plants need to survive.  We are integrating our learning with visual arts and ICT (information communication technology...computers).

Yesterday we began our inquiry by researching answers to the question Mrs Daly posed...
What makes a good planting pot (or container)?


We knew we wanted to use the Google search engine, but were unsure how to begin a search.  So we had a talk about how to narrow our search field (answers).  We wrote down possible key words and entered these into the search bar.  We then found two good websites which Mrs Daly wrote down for us...so we wouldn't forget them.

After that, we began looking at things that a planting container had e.g. holes in the bottom, and drew our findings.  Later we shared them with the class.

Our next step will be researching interesting ways we could recycle a 2 litre plastic bottle to make a pot to plant some seeds into.
